Mr. Alexander Egorov

Alexander Egorov is the Director of the Center for Strategic Development and Economic Research of Belarusbank since November 2016.

Mr. Egorov has a various international education and work experience. In 2007 he graduated from Belarusian State University, majoring in Economic Cybernetics (mathematical methods in economics). In 2012 he received his master’s degree from Williams College, majoring in Policy Economics.
He started his career in June 2007 as a specialist of the division of analysis and forecasting of systemic banking risks, department of banking system stability analysis, directorate of banking supervision of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus. In November 2009 he joined the Representative Office of the International Monetary Fund in the Republic of Belarus as an economist.
In September 2012 he started working at the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Belarus as the deputy head of the department of financial, tax, monetary and currency policy. Then since May 2013 he moved on to head the department of analysis and forecasting of the financial sector of that Ministry.
He returned to the banking sector in May 2015 when he started working as the Director of financial and economic department of the largest bank in Belarus –Belarusbank. In November 2016 he transferred to the position of Director of the Center for Strategic Development and Economic Research.
