|Married with two children, Gianluca Salsecci graduated at the University of Florence. In 1986 he got an Msc. in Economics and Political Science at the London School of Economics and in 1992 spent one year leave at the London Business School as Ph. D. Visiting Student in Finance. He started his career in the Research Department of Istituto Mobiliare Italiano, part now of Intesa Sanpaolo (ISP) Group. In ISP he is currently in charge of the International Research Network and is member of the Economic Advisory Committee of the IIF. He is interested in topics of international economics and, in his areas of research, speaker at events, occasionally lecturer and co-author of several publications, among which, more recently, Long Term Growth Perspectives and Economic Convergence of CEE and SEE Countries, Transition Studies Review (March 2008), Russia.
