Glenn is Director, Watson Financial Services Solutions at IBM based out of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Responsible for Revenue, Profit & Loss and Go-To-Market of Watson FS Solutions which includes; Client Insights & Cognitive Experience, Risk and Compliance, Payments and Counter Fraud and Sales Performance Management. Glenn has deep expertise in Cognitive strategy and transformation and actively worked with clients – adopt Artificial Intelligence (AI), define their transformation and growth strategy using AI, identify sources of competitive advantage by leveraging AI that drive sustainable business value.
Prior to this role, Glenn was responsible for leading global sales efforts focusing on growing IBM’s Cognitive Industry Solutions that integrate our Watson, Analytics, Internet of Things, and Commerce technologies and expertise. Deliver these to clients in an on premise or SaaS model, determine go-to-market, and coordinate efforts across all the different sales teams involved in these opportunities. Additionally, led a European team of Strategy & Consultative sales professionals that leverage IBM Watson (aka cognitive computing), big data, and analytics to develop client business strategies, cognitive value propositions and transformation plans across multiple industries.
Glenn’s past responsibilities include Director, Enterprise & Industry Sales. In this role he was responsible for developing strategic client relationships through his Long Term Business Development program across 4000+ sellers. Prior to this role Glenn successfully built and led a brand new Software division, called Industry Solutions, within South West Europe. In this role he led sales, technical sales, marketing and services for IBM to deliver better outcomes for clients through Industry Solutions
He joined the IBM Software Group 18 years ago, starting within Tivoli Systems as a Pre-Sales Consultant then moved into a Global Software Account Manager role of an Integrated Account within IBM. Glenn is a graduate of the Hogeschool Utrecht (Institute of Technology), where he received a Bachelor of Technical Business Administration. He also holds a MBA from Henley College for Business Transformation and Strategic Direction.
