Ron Delnevo joined Cardtronics in 2005, when the company of which he was then Managing Director, Bank Machine, became Cardtronics first major International acquisition. Cardtronics is now the World’s largest independent ATM operator.

 Bank Machine installed the first independent ATM in the UK in December 1998. Having been with the company since January 1999 (he became Managing Director in June 2000), including leading a successful MBO in 2003, Ron then went on to lead the company until late 2012. During that time, Bank Machine lead the way in terms of innovation, enjoyed double digit annual revenue growth and when Ron left was enjoying growing profitability.

 Ron drove Bank Machine forward with leadership focused on producing profitable growth through a total dedication to customer service. The Bank Machine Team was recognised as the finest in the UK ATM industry.

Since leaving Bank Machine, Ron has dedicated himself to furthering the interests of the ATM industry throughout Europe. He is now the European Director of the ATM Industry Association. Ron is recognised as a thought leader on Payment Choice and is invited to speak on the subject at conferences throughout Europe.

In the 1990s, Ron ran his own consultancy business, specialising in retail and franchising. Prior to that, he was Managing Director of Essanelle Limited, the largest hair and beauty retailer in the UK. In the 1980s, Ron was a Director of Tie Rack PLC, following on from a 6-year stint as a senior manager of the British Airports Authority [now BAA PLC], with special responsibility for retail innovation. Ron’s work in this period helped transform boring Airports into the wonderful Shopping Centres, with car AND aircraft parking facilities, that they are today

Ron Delnevo graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Organisation from Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh and completed a post grad in Personnel Management at Napier University.

Ron loves sports, especially his beloved Heart of Midlothian Football Club, in Edinburgh. He also serves as a Trustee of his local Citizens Advice charity in the UK.
